The AI Candidate Engine

Exclusive appointments with buyers who can fund the unit.

A broker parks your logo in a catalog and shops the candidate to whoever pays the placement fee. This service recruits outbound for your brand, qualifies against your FDD, and hands your development team the meeting. One calendar. One concept. No steering.

What do you need help with?

THE PROBLEM THIS SERVICE SOLVES

Brokers are a catalog. You are a line item.

A broker does not work for your brand. A broker works for the close that pays them. They introduce the same candidate to a stack of concepts, collect 40 to 50 percent of the franchise fee when someone finally signs, and call it representation. If another brand is easier to sell this week, you lose the meeting and you still paid to sit in the pile.

Portals do the same damage with a different invoice. They sell the recycled inquiry twelve other brands already burned. Your team then spends the week on discovery calls with people who cannot fund the franchise fee, shoppers who ghost when they see the FDD, and dreamers who want to partner their way in with none of the capital. That is not a pipeline. That is theater.

Selling a franchise is not a bigger version of selling a sandwich. A $50,000 to $250,000 unit decision drags in a spouse, an accountant, a banker, and the family savings. The number of people who can fund that this quarter is a short list. Ads cannot find that list. Brokers will not protect it. This service recruits that list for your brand only, then books the appointment.

Stop competing for broke tire-kickers.

Agencies sell a dashboard. Brokers sell a catalog. Neither one puts a funded buyer, exclusive to your brand, on your calendar.

THE BROKER WAY
  • Your logo sits in a catalog next to every other concept they can place.
  • The same candidate is shopped to whoever pays the fatter fee.
  • No check for income, capital, or intent before the introduction.
  • They collect 40 to 50 percent of the franchise fee and call it advisory.
  • Your team spends the week cleaning up meetings that cannot award a unit.
THIS SERVICE
  • Outbound to senior professionals, not a portal pile. Growth Machines filters 175 million profiles.
  • Executives, directors, and operators earning $150,000 to $500,000.
  • Income, capital, and intent screened against your FDD before anything hits the calendar.
  • Exclusive to your brand. One concept. No steering.
  • Judged on appointments that can award units, not on a click report.

Built for systems with capacity for at least 5 new locations and a unit in the $50,000 to $250,000 range. You still need someone who can run the discovery call when the appointment is booked. We do not shop your buyer.

What a candidate persona actually contains

Franchise development teams that recruit well write this down before they buy media. We build it from your awards, your refusals, and the minimums in the FDD. Five gates. A failed gate is a stop, not a point on a score.

Capital

Liquid capital and net worth against your published minimums, and a credible plan for the rest of the Item 7 range. Self-reported early. Documented before you would invite them to Discovery Day. Income band we commonly work is $150,000 to $500,000. Your FDD overrides that.

Capacity

Can this person, or a named operator, run the model? Owner-operator brands and semi-absentee brands are different personas. Work history and hours available are part of the filter.

Territory

An open market you will actually grant, inside a commute or trade area that fits the concept. A qualified buyer in a closed DMA is not a candidate.

Timeline

A decision window that matches your development plan: exit from a current role, financing steps, and a realistic open date. Curiosity with no date is not a pipeline.

Culture, left to you

Coachability and brand fit are judged on your discovery call and at Discovery Day. We do not score personality and call it an award. We remove the people who fail capital, territory, or timeline before that meeting.

Where this sits in a normal franchise sale

The steps below are the process most franchisors already run. We own the first column. You own the rest, including the 14-day FDD waiting period and the award.

What your development team receives

  • A written persona: capital floor, background, owner-operator or semi-absentee, and the markets you will grant.
  • Outreach and reply handling against that persona, so your coordinators are not the first filter.
  • A short brief for the meeting: why they cleared capital and territory, and what is still unverified.
  • The appointment on the development calendar. That appointment is the service.

A small monthly retainer covers the profile, list building, outreach, reply handling, vetting, and the hand-delivered appointment. Pricing is discussed on the call.

What we will not claim

  • A match rate, a close rate, or a number of awards. Those depend on your brand, your Item 19, and your award standard.
  • That an algorithm replaces a discovery call. Filtering is data. Fit is still a meeting.
  • That we issue the FDD, negotiate the franchise agreement, or share royalties.
  • That every conversation becomes an appointment. The point of the filter is the meetings that never reach you.

Questions development directors ask

Why not use a franchise broker?
A broker works for the placement, not for your brand. They shop one candidate across a stack of concepts and take 40 to 50 percent of the franchise fee if someone signs. If another brand is easier to sell, you lose the meeting. This service does not shop your buyer. The appointment is exclusive to your concept.
Do you contact candidates before we do?
Yes. Outreach and the first filter happen before the hand-off, so the appointment is not a cold introduction. We do not present your Item 19 or negotiate the agreement.
What if our minimums are above $250,000?
The persona uses your Item 7 and liquidity minimums. The $50,000 to $250,000 band is where many of our candidate conversations sit. A higher FDD minimum becomes the gate.
Who awards the franchise?
You do. Co. Buy Sell does not award, does not sign the franchise agreement, and does not take a royalty.

Stop funding the appearance of a pipeline.

Send the FDD minimums and the markets you will actually grant. We recruit against them and book the appointment. We do not shop that buyer to another brand.
